Position Summary

As an Automotive Lube Technician at East Tennessee Ford, you will perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, fluid top-offs, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections. You will work under management guidance to ensure all services meet established standards, providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The role requires physical dexterity and stamina as well as an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment. A positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong communication skills are essential to deliver world-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check and maintain vehicle fluids including oil, brake, transmission, coolant, and windshield wiper fluid
  • Perform tire checks and rotations as assigned
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and complete standard maintenance tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles during service and repair processes
  • Document maintenance and service activities accurately according to regulations
  • Support shop operations including inventory stocking and maintaining safety standards
  • Adhere to all shop policies, procedures, and environmental safety rules
  • Participate in required staff meetings, training, and educational programs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team’s success

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Dependable and professional work ethic
  • Safety-conscious with a strong focus on customer service
  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional appearance suitable for a customer-facing environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Prior automotive experience or willingness to learn is preferred but not required
